I feel like in my family, this is the role I fit most, however, I still feel myself getting nervous in certain situations regarding overwhelming groups of any one race. Since I was a child, my parents have made tons of negative comments pertaining to race, especially when it comes to blacks and whites, both of which are what I am.

Has this most likely influenced my views on race?

Am I screwed forever?

i agree with airemaye as long as you don't act on your thoughts it's fine

I think it's impossible to be truly unbiased about anything.

But I think it's possible to set aside your biases and be a generally open-minded person.

Just because you're racially biased doesn't mean you're racist, unless you make it so.

This has probably why you feel this way, because of your parents. I come from the South, so everyone here are ignorant fucks.
I'm from the south, too.

I've always thought Lousiana would be more accepting though. Maybe I'm just a huge Georgia hater,

Buuuut yeah, Why do they make negative comments, Of what sort?

Well, my mom is mixed, and my dad is black, so it's really ass backwards. They'll say things like "Don't go to bad neighborhoods because black men on bikes will rob you" or "Yeah, it was a bunch of weird ass white people" both of which they refer to as "your people", your as in me.

Not sure, never met anyone who was and I know I'm not.

I'm not talking racist either, but to be utterly unbiased is another story.

I don't think you're screwed, it wont affect your life or anything.
