In our street, we have problems with parking. The neighbours across the road from us have a disabled spot outside of OUR house, not even their own house. We don't even think they are disabled, people should have a disabled spot only when they have a severe difficulty to walk, the dad walks his son to school everyday so he can't have that much trouble walking.

This morning, they put up a big metal sign in front of OUR house saying that only disabled people should park here. We have a car as well, where are we supposed to park?! It makes me so mad, and our neighbour always gives us smug looks like he knows exactly what he's doing.

Have you ever had a feud with one of your neighbours?

That sucks. Bloody neighbours.

In fact my Mum had an argument with one of our neighbours recently. We live in these new apartments so there are usually people about. My Mum was sitting watching TV when she heard a banging, she looked out the window to find plastic balls being dropped from above and hitting her car. So she goes outside and calls up 'Excuse me, could you please refrain your child from throwing those balls, they are hitting my car', a fair comment, right? Anyways, then the woman is like 'shut up! Don't tell me how to raise my kid!'. Then, she comes downstairs and calls my Mum outside and proceeds to call her a bad name and that 'old' people shouldn't live here.

I was like 'what the hell!' I was so angry. My Mum was just politely asking that their brat of a son doesn't ruin her car and the woman stresses out.

Omd how stupid why did they have it there how retarded

try and park outside their house?

Yeah, they complained about that. Our street is very narrow so you can only park along one side, so everyone else parks on the actual pavement, that's what they've always done. Then our neighbours complained about that so anyone of parks on the other side of the street gets a ticket.

oh now thats annoying i hate those type of streets they are a pig to park and drive down specially if they arn't one way

well there isn't really anything for you to do then.. unless you can find out why they gave them that space.. and see if one of them is acutally disabled or something

take it up with the council. it's your private property, why is their parking spot in front of your house?
we don't even talk to our neighbours XD so no feuds.

ths street is owned by the council, it is not part of their property i wouldn't think as its the street..

its just stupid that its there

but that section of the sidewalk is technically their property.
at least, that's the way it works here.

Wow, that sounds fucking stupid if he can walk his son to school everyday. My mum would go mental at them. No feuds really, our neighbours have always been fairly nice and don't really say that much actually.

Can't you just take the sign down and tell your neighbors to find their own damn parking spot?

That would be against the law, as our city council has given them that space.

Well than that's just total bullshit.
xoxo1234 Posted at 3:57 am on July 8, 2008
They can't do that, it's private property. Just remove it, and if they question you tell them this.

Ooo that sounds dirty, I would magically make the sign go missing.
