why are people so caught up in stereotypes? i mean, why would you label yourself? you should just be yourself. don't be judged over some stupid stereotype.

EDIT: i know people stereotype everyone, but i'm saying that it's stupid. you shouldn't have to live up to the worlds expectations of what you are or going to be.

I hate how so many people label Americans as stupid and fat. Stupid because of idiots like Paris Hilton and fat...well I guess the majority of Americans ARE obese but, that doesn't mean we all are. Ugh, Stereotypes are just so stupid and naive sometimes.
xxAnimexxFanaticxx Posted at 7:42 pm on July 9, 2008
everyone is stereotyped
even normal people are stereotyped as normal.
simple as.
if we didn't label things, how do you think jam and marmalade would have turned out?
5H3N7 Posted at 7:40 pm on July 9, 2008
i label myself as myself.....its my friends who mostly try to label me but u get used to it after a while and i guess its the way the world is now every1 has more or less there own definition of certain stereotypes don't they
penguinsrule Posted at 7:40 pm on July 9, 2008
they are unavoidable. even if we don't want to believe them, they still follow us around and we get hints of them everyday. sure, they are generally not true of individuals, but they had to stem from somewhere...ergo, people still stereotype

To other people, you=your stereotype. Only you know who you really are, you don't "label" yourself, other people do it for you.
