I agree with both your main points there. Particularly your first. Like "I suggest X because of X,Y, and Z". But more often than not, what will happen is "DNT DO IT ITS ILLEGAL!!!" etc. Furthermore, simply saying "you could do X,Y or Z. The benefits of each are..." is perhaps even better than suggestions.

You're right, a lot of illeagle things are done and not prosecuted, and that's ok. But your examples are good ones of different types of illeagle activity. The first ones you note are basically victimless, except for underage drinking, which is prosecuted. The laws about underage sex is to protect the young. Maybe they're outdated, but it's still different. Also, when an adult guy has sex with a minor female and is prosecuted, he can be sent to jail and labeled for life. While I don't have any problem with consensual sex between two people of "similar" age, it can be a real risk for a guy.

Whenever I tell them to be careful about the sex with a minor, it's because they have to be careful if their parents find out. Not that I'm too keen on underage sex (like 15 and lower) but I know it happens. Just telling them to be careful is all.
