I'm sick of getting these letters from the TV Licensing people. They're deliberately threatening and intimidating and I'm fed up of them, as are my flat-mates. I'd like to know how much people get paid to produce and distribute these letters and the printing costs, just to piss people like us off who have done nothing wrong.

I don't have a TV, I don't need a license. I have to ring them on a non-free number to tell them I'm not breaking the law, in which case they will send round an investigator to look in my room to check that I'm not breaking the law. Now, in reality I've heard this doesn't often happen but that's not the point - the letter claims I'll have someone looking in my room at my stuff to check I'm innocent! How ridiculous! We're all just ignoring them and going to refuse access so they need to get a warrant to enter, and then will find no TVs anyway. We want to waste their time if they do appear.

It's very irritating that the government (or an organisation linked to the government) feels the need to threaten and pester normal people over something so trivial.

"This is your last chance to take action before our enforcement team is assigned to investigate your case"

Fuck. Off.

I'm tempted to attack the "enforcement team" and end up in court for battery, so the prick has to go home to his family knowing people really, really hate him. "How many people did you wind up today, dad?"

Cunts.

Ahahahaaa

I don't care what you feel, but thanks for the pointers anyway. I know you're childish - more than a bit - and I know I'm something else entirely: normal.

Thanks for the laughs though. Please, continue as you are. It's awesome.

Not very far, as obviously I've done it before. However, that's not the point. I'm saying you type like a child.

Yeah I used to get them all last year, it will be because someone in your block of flats does not have a license. I never rang the number because well, if they came to investigate me then they would have found no TV anyway.

It's automatic in halls. They presume we're all tax-dodgers. They've no way of detecting if someone is watching TV without a license and I doubt someone would report someone as early as week one. It's disgusting.

they will say you need it for laptop if it has a tv tuner

I know. Out of my topic. I don't like you.

Ahhh well, as I said I never bothered ringing them up and they never came to get me. I'm pretty sure they can detect who is watching TV without a license they have those vans that they constantly set up outside of halls.

lol
