Apparently people are trying to create human-like robots you can interact and maybe fall in love with and marry.

I personally think it's abusrd!! a robot is a tecnological thing like a computer or a tv. It may interact with you but thats because thats what it's programed to do  it's like a sim. It has no heart it isn`t living or dead and it cannot feel real emotions it only feels what it`s programed to feel and say..

Do you really think you could marry and fall in love with something that has no soul it`s just another techniclogical advancement programed to "love" you.

you can love a cat. you can love a robot.
different kind of love maybe, but still love.

lmao uhm no. cats are animals, WE are animals.
we're part of the circle of life.

robots on the other hand, are created by US are INANIMATE, and comparable to a piece of metal.

I suppose. But when your phone breaks don't you get pissed?

i don't have a cellphone, and house phones ANNOY the shit outta me so i'd be happy.

But you still had a relationship with the house phone, human or not, you hated it. see? just give it the ability to make you laugh and entertain you and you have a friend.

id marry a vibrator. is that what u meant?
taraxgoesxboom Posted at 6:25 pm on Nov. 20, 2008
Well, it would take away the being lonely without having to deal with a real person's bs. But, I highly doubt they could advance them enough to actually make it hard to tell the difference, so no.

I love the part at the end that says "technosexual"

I guess it could happen if it was extremely human-like but then again... it's just a chunk of metal.
