However, Ive got a torrent seeding at a mad rate right now, and its on a private tracker, so I need to get it to at least 1:1. Even at its mad seeding rate, it will still be 4-8hrs before its done.

Thats basically how all Warez sites are structured. Or they link you FTPs, etc.
All of this works on the same principal. Youve got to share to make the community better.

PeerGuardian is shit pointless. It offers no real protection, just blocked corporate IPs. And with the MediaDefender incident, we already know thats not going to do anything, since no one is really dumb enough to try catch pirates from their main corporate office.
Not to mention, it uses system resources, and blocks DHT. Both of which I would rather not have happen.
I get everything from MegaUpload. I never torrent anymore, I haven't done it in almost a year now.

I could probably SSH the labs server, I would just have to txt my instructor to get the pass.
But Im to lazy. I think Ill just seed this one out, and get up 20min early and do it before class.
I dont have to get up till 11am anyways, so 1030 wouldnt be to bad.

I'd have to say reboot. I'm sure that if you don't get a 1:1 ratio on one torrent it will ruin your status at the tracker. Worst comes to worst, just torrent something else after and seed the living hell out of it.
Ill have to seed it 1:1 eventually. Well, at least 1:0.7. They use a global ratio, as well as a per torrent ratio. If your global falls below .75, you risk a ban (normally get a little while to get it up) and if you have a "Hit and run" (not seeding to at least .7) you get a warning. Three warnings, banhammer.
I pride myself on my pure account, not to mention the special treatment that comes with it (Uploader status, seniority, access to a second tracking server, etc)
