Frame your subject and be aware of exactly what is in your frame. Look for subtle things like pieces of rubbish or a lamposts in your shot which could be avoided by re-composing. A basic photograghpy course is the best way to go and having a Digital SLR camera is an advantage Cily Posted at 10:44 pm on Aug. 7, 2008 Close-ups [or macros] are not automatically amazing. And don't try too hard or it will show. Just go with your instinct. If you see a shot that you think looks good go for it and you'll learn from experience what makes a nice picture and what doesn't. And you might want to look up some of the basics of composition.
