In my art class the current studio project is to do a collage, converting colour still life's that the professor set up, to black, grey, and white, using a value scale.
We already did our sketches and I've chosen to do an abstraction. The big thing is that we have to really show shading and that the objects are rounded [which means really good shades, as one of the objects is a gourd which means I have to show it being rounded in every direction], and most of the objects were.
I have a hard enough time shading just using anything other than charcoal, much less doing a collage with cut up copies of an achromatic value scale...
Does anyone have any suggestions of any sort that could help me with my shading?
plz plz plz
