Just wanted to let ya know that shawtygirl from here had her baby this morning! We're all so excited for her. It's a boy, she named him Simeon Logan. He was born around 3:10 AM, measured 20 inches and weighed about 6 lb, 10 oz. He's so cute I betcha! And I heard Simeon's 15-month-old big sis, Allegra is real excited, too. I'd post some pics of baby Simeon but I don't have any yet. I only spent $40 on my crib, instead of $300. So I had $260 to put into savings or spend on other necessities instead.   There's nothing wrong with splurging a little and some things shouldn't be bought second hand, such as car seats, but I never quite got this idea that your basic baby set up/nursery has to cost as much as a US University education.   Oh, I completely agree with you.
