Patron Reply Tips for Caring for an Infant How to wrap a baby Do not wrap your baby too tightly! They like being in soft cottons. They do not need to wear heavy clothes while wrapped like this. It will make them overly warm. Playing Making faces, laughing and tickling your baby are all great ways to interact with them. Babies also love hearing your voice. While you are making dinner, talk to them or sing. It doesn't matter that they can't understand you. Just be sure to use a happy voice. Hunger Babies will let you know when they are hungry. Typical signals are crying, moving head around with an open mouth, smacking their mouth or sucking on their fingers. Burping Babies Babies need to be burped because they tend to swallow a lot of air when feeding. If not burped, it can lead to discomforting gas later in the day. Babies do not need to be burped after every feeding. Breastfed babies usually swallow less air than bottle fed babies. You only need to burp them if they show signs of discomfort. Over the Sholder http://www.ehow.com/images/ehows/steps/Burpbaby_1L.jpg Be sure to have a burping blanket over your shoulder in case they spit up milk. Rub and pat their back starting at the bottom and moving up. Lap Burping http://www.ehow.com/images/ehows/steps/burpbaby_4L.jpg Sit the baby on your lap and support their neck from the front. Rub and pat their back, starting from the base and going upwards to their head. Laying Burping http://www.ehow.com/images/ehows/steps/burpbaby_7L.jpg Lay the infant on their tummy over your legs. Rub and pat their back starting from the bottom and working your way up. |

Sorry parents but abortion is one of the greatest evils of our time. it should never be an option becaus it envolves killing a person. Adoption is a better "get rid of our shame" action.
True, very true. And this was the perfect topic I was looking for, thank you. |

I am 17 I just found out that I am approx. a month pregnant meaning i have time to have an abortion. Which is the option my parents want me to choose. My boyfriend and I were being safe and still this happened part of me is happy and excited and I want it. However I am scared and not sure that I should have it. The idea of abortion makes me sick but what if it is the right thing i would love so help with this please. Hurry only have 20 weeks
You're usually better off to post this in a new topic. Most people don't check the intro thread for random 'in-need' topics, hence why you got no replies. Did you have the abortion? At 17, there's no reason you cannot be a capable parent if you want to keep your child. You shouldn't abort if you really feel as though it's not your choice. Don't abort simply to make your parents happy. |

I have a big problem with one part of this post Emergency contraception does not equal "termination of pregnancy". It PREVENTS pregnancy post-sex, but if you are pregnant and take it it will not induce abortion. |

Wow, I wish I would have had all of this info when I was pregnant. I have a 4 1/2 month old baby boy names Avery. I would advise any teen who wants to get pregnant to wait a few years at least. It is the hardest thing you will ever have to do, and most teens are too selfish to put their child before themselves. It is extremely expensive and you should be financially stable before you even think about having a baby. I love my son, but he is such a handful! |
