One of my best friends of about four years started dating this guy a year or so ago. That's all fine, but she is pretty much obsessed with him now. Maybe they are in love... Still though, she cannot go 15 minutes without talking to him whether it is in person, on the phone, through text, online. Well, maybe it is more than fifteen minutes. I guess a couple hours. Yet, she will go days without speaking to me, ignoring my calls, etc., because she is with him. The moment he is busy though, she calls me saying that we MUST hang out because she is so bored. Basically, the only time we can hang out now is when he can't, and even then, she sometimes tries to put him in our plans so she can still see him. I feel like I am just the back-up entertainment for her when her boyfriend is too busy for her. Like, I said, maybe I am making a big deal out of nothing. But, I have a couple other best friends who are dating people, and they all seem to be able to balance whereas she doesn't.
