For some of us it doesn't go away when we graduate high school.

I'm 21 now and I just feel like people don't respect me and I'm really conscious of it. I know mine is only a mild or moderate case but it's persistent and doesn't go away. My dermatologist has put me on every possible topical medication in the last 6 or 7 years but not Accutane yet. I'm considering asking for it but I'm really just afraid of the potential for permanent hair loss.

I'm thinking about taking on a drastic diet change like vegan gluten-free low-GI. Someone else told me that I shouldn't let it control my life like that, but I feel that letting defeating acne control my life and accomplishing something on my own would be far better than just letting having it control my life.

Dermalogica are very good for acne clearing products. Try thir Medicated Clearing Gel.

The pill also had a big part in clearing up my skin.

I used to have acne but they put me on these pills, can't remember the name of 'em. They dried out my skin completely and I was always dehydrated.
I doubt it will result in permanent hair loss.

I eat all organic food and that's helping flush out my face.

Do you exfoliate?

Acne is caused by a clogging of pores with oil and dirt.

Exfoliating scrubs away this crap in your pores. Sometimes though it can be a bit too harsh, and you irritate the skin. Don't forget to moisturize, if this is the case.

I had mild acne, i used proactive for a while. When it died down a lot i used some Clearasil leave on stuff. Then i started taking birth control. I never get pimples, and if i do its around that time of the month or I'm REALLY stressed.

Diet is a way for me. I can't eat anything sugary and stay away from soda.
