so im trying to control my anger so i don't have to get MORE meds for my family to deal with-
i've used up hundreds of dollars on ear infection meds, different though -
so, any ideas on how to control it?
there is a huge difference between a fender bender and a 50 car pileup at 80 mph, but the latter still does not defy the laws of physics
no but i was 'diagnosed' awhile ago by some hack for no reason and they kept changing shit
yea? i know for a fact both myself and greatescape are bipolar.
if someone who is says your wrong what agreement do you have?
Quote: from prisoner of hss at 12:14 am on July 4, 2008 Bipolar disorder isn't a real medical disorder, I wouldn't recommend going to a professional. Also, as others said, it involves huge mood swings between high and low, not anger. Bipolar and other emotional problems can cause a lot of damage in your family. This isn't only because of the problem itself, its peoples poor reactions to it and callousness towards helping that often drives people down the wrong path. Anyway, it does sound like you have something worth dealing with, I just don't think a label would be helpful, and getting into the mental health system is a bad idea in general. What I would do is find a few things that you can consistently enjoy doing regardless of your mood, which perhaps could work to balance you out a bit more. Then I'd also take up something extremely active for your periods of anger. If you could use the time when you're not angry to figure out why you're angry, or try to observe your reactions, maybe you could figure out why you get so angry in the first place which would help you find a solution, even if difficult. One thing I've found to help is to just force some perspective into the situation, making getting all upset over something seem pointless. shut up you piece of shit.

semi agreement
prisoner of hss are you bipolar?
I wouldn't recommend going to a professional. Also, as others said, it involves huge mood swings between high and low, not anger. Bipolar and other emotional problems can of course cause a lot of damage in your family, as I'm sure you know. This isn't only because of the problem itself, its peoples poor reactions to it and callousness towards helping that often drives people down the wrong path. Anyway, it does sound like you have something worth dealing with, I just don't think a label would be helpful, and getting into the mental health system is a bad idea in general.
But, from what I've heard, it sounds like living with an extremely bipolar father might be causing you a lot of stress, which could lead to a lot of this anger. These disorders do indeed run in families though, just not genetically. I think not wanting to become like that might also be some extra motivation, too. Anyway, that's all I've got.

Most people think that bipolar disorder is having mood swings throughout the day, but it is actually over a period of months and years. If you are just moody, that is not actual Bipolar Disorder. There are similar, lesser forms, but they are not the same thing. because my dad is ane xtremely bad bipolar. i show every sign he has.
