It affects many people, and because it's bad, it should be illegal. We also know that people who do it never are in the right mind, because random people and incompetent hacks with bullshit degrees say so. Discuss.

People who commit suicide though have mental/emotional problems and without help there's nothing you can do about it. What are they going to do put them in jail for trying to kill themselves? Thats not going to help anything. Instead they will get you the help you need. If that means checking you into a pychiatric hospital. Thats what they usually do.
