To be honest, I don't know how to fix it. I don't know who I am anymore. I am not sure if I am Christian or Atheist, Racist or non-racist, gay or straight. My confidence level has dropped dramatically in the past years. I am very unsure of my self, and don't even know what I want to do with my future. I am 19 years old, and don't have shit going for me. I haven't had a girlfriend in about five years. So I am really inexperienced, which makes me shy. I have no idea what to do. How do you all find yourself?

Each of us go through a similar time in our lives where we do not know where we belong and who we are. I know what you are feeling. In my experience I began searching for God in a deeper way and I found Him. I found Jesus and He changed my life. I encourage you to seek after Jesus Christ and He will give you everything you need. I will tell you that sometimes I don't know who I am because I am half African Arab and half just African American, plus other races such as Indian and Caribbean Island, etc.. I want to hang out with more Arabs like myself but they all speak the Arabic language and I don't speak it very well. I am also half Muslim and half Christian. I have always been raised a Christian by going to church and etc., and I have never stepped foot into a Mosque, but I know alot about the religion and alot of people in America view me as a terrorist or what not. I also speak Spanish really well and English and only some Arabic but knowing like 3 cultures doesn't help much. So really I just hang out with people who accept me. Religion, Race etc. doesn't matter but what matters is the character inside of the people meaning myself and the others I center myself around. Don't let your confidence level drop because you may have differences, that are sometimes considered weird by disrespectful people. Just remember it is what is inside that counts. Just be who you are, and don't try to change for the well being of other people. You are you and that is all that matters. Sometimes we all have identity crisis, and can't find where we belong but when it all comes down to it we are just ourselves and we should let nothing change us. I can't help it either. True free will means being able to make decisions and form opinions for an against any aspect of a religion. It's more wrong to deny yourself your feelings than to suppress them for a religious correctness. What does that even mean, anyway? I'm certainly not a christian, but not because I don't believe in a higher power, but rather because I don't believe in the words of man claiming to represent the will and desires of a higher power.   I don't believe that the real christian god, or any god for that matter, would consider themselves the law and overlord of their creations, but merely the designer of a world. As long as you have faith that there is something beyond the mediocre and tedious aspects of life, and the physical body, I think you can be accepted as good by most higher beings.
