*Sorry, guys, second psychological question today.

I was raped and abused in the best, because of that my psychotherapist thinks it's best that I go to a clinic for around 2 months, where I will be going into intensive care. A large part of it is recovery and treatment. The clinic I'm aiming for does not offer a school (I'm 16) and I'm afraid to have to repeat the year if I miss so much.

Should I look past that and just focus on getting better? Said psychotherapist says that I may not be able to focus on school anymore if I don't get help now, so...maybe I should take the risk?

You should go. Mental health is by far more important so you can be able to focus on school and live a healthy life.

I think you should definitely go.  Your mental health is the most important thing at this point.  If you have to repeat a year of school, so what?  You can always makeup school work.  You might not have this opportunity again.

didn't you say you didn't know if you were raped?

And no I don't think this is a good idea, taking time off school will ruin your life. Seriously.

No it won't, retard.

sorry about what happened. i'm going to be taking at least next semester off school because of depression. i just can't focus and im getting bad grades so im just going to get my life under control before going back to school. ur therapist is right even though mine says i should continue with school im not going to be able too.

You should definitely take advantage of the opportunity. That kind of shit just taints everything in your life until you do something about it.
BLUEAUTOMATIC Posted at 12:39 pm on Oct. 27, 2008
I left school, not to go to a clinic, but just because it wasn't helping me any.

I think I became a lot more successful after leaving and getting 'treatment' for depression.

However, our situations differ, so I'm not sure how useful my advice is.

yes your health is the most important thing. School will always be there.

your mental health is more important in the long run than your education.
