I dunno, I haven't had one die, so I can't say I know the other side.

I've had my dad walk out on me multiple times, but I know he loves me. If they walked away I'd manage, because they'd still be alive. Living and breathing somewhere. My mom walked out on me, my dad, and my older brother for about 7-8 years, even though she came back, I didnt forgive her, and I still dont. Atleast when they die, you know that they cared about you(in most cases) when they walk out, their being selfish, not caring about you. If they did then it would hurt but I love them both so much I would be happy knowing that they were makign life better for themselves. If one of them died it would be so much worse.
