Hey,

So I've been on anti-depressants for around 3 years? (Maybe longer)

I recently stopped taking them though. I'm sick of it.

I was wondering if anyone else tried to stop and succeeded?

I'm so confused. I hate having to take meds but I don't have anyone I can talk to about it either... I just don't want to take them anymore.

Withdraw is a bitch, and everyone around you notice.\

It's better just to stay on them. Or ween yourself off of them.

I'm on them too.

I stopped. You never recover though.
Depression's with you for life, it's how you cope with it that changes.

Coming off them is grand if you have support.
Don't stop talking to people and always be constantly aware of how you're actually feeling, don't just ignore feelings, don't lie to yourself.

Most of all, remember depression is a chemical imbalance. Some of the emotions you will feel aren't real.

Don't let yourself slip into a great depression that you will have trouble coming out of, never let it get that bad. Sometimes the meds aren't a bad thing if they mean you can live a normal life.
