I want friends, I mean I have some, but none of them are particularly close to me anymore. I used to have two best friends, but we got distant. I try to be "myself" and attract people like me, but it doesn't work. I feel like I am flawed. I try to be someone I am not, acting like a fool sometimes just to get laughs, and I just want friends I guess. I try to be funny for some people, and look smart for others. But it doesn't work, nothing I do works. And I know some people are going to post
PM me I can be a friend, or something like that, but no thanks. I have friends on here and well... I can tell they aren't going to last. I know nothing does, but I like to believe sometimes that I am not as lonely as I really am.

stop trying to fit in with people. you will click with some people n u wont with others. i know it is hard, but for example, i am like best friends with this girl now, who went to the same primary school as me, an we didnt know or want to know each other in primary school. she started working at the same place as me, and a shift or two, and we clicked. it was just an amazing click, i have never experienced it before, we went from not caring or wanting to know one another to best friends. so u jus gotta meet the right people.

Contact your two best friends?
Try and rebuild that.

There must've been a reason you were mates in the first place.

We got distant because I left schools for one of them, and the other he found a new best friend. It was like my whole 11th grade year I was desperately trying to show him that I was still a good person to be with. I tried to be funny, kind, and understanding of him. But he kept on going with this other guy and it got me so depressed. I loved him like a brother, and then when we did hang out without the other guy, he would talk about him a lot. It really hurt my feelings, like I had been replaced in his family.

Some people are just not meant to be connected to so many people. There most be something about you, mentally, that separates you from others. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just you can't connect with others. There's something you see in people, or people see in you that they find uncommon, therefore not likable.

I don't know you, or the people that know you, so I can't really give sincere advice about your situation. But, what I think will help sometimes, is reading a good book. Don't watch too much tv, it will only corrupt yourself, well that's what I think. But, for me, reading makes me feel better when I have days when I feel very alone on the world.

You are only lonely cause you think you are.  If you have friends keep them.. call them over to hang out and stuff.. and people might notice your personality you do not have to say it or have people reaffirm it just believe in yourself... sooner or later you will see your hard work come out
