HOLY SHIT!
Almost everyone on this thread is saying 'oh that's fine it's in the name of terrorism'

This shows there are no bounds to how brainwashed people have become. Humans don't deserve to be free, this topic alone shows they don't want it and can't handle it.

Like seriously you kids won't be lolling when the Van is in front of your house, arresting your mom for 'conspiracy'.

I LOL at your brainwashed convalescence though the signs are all around you and you think your 'law abiding'

medjai Posted at 9:10 pm on Oct. 23, 2008
You retards don't realize that you don't actually have to be a terrorist for the government to claim you are one. When your friend start disappearing you'll see what I mean.

How can people be accepting of this?
deadsilence Posted at 5:56 pm on Oct. 23, 2008

By research all I mean is something other than news from shitty tabloids like the Daily Mail and the Sun. Watching BBC news will be enough, as long as you get the facts and not the overblown propaganda.

They are talking about the latest celebrity gossip and random misinterpreted fact of the day, like always.

But without emotional conviction, they just react like Wakeupcall, and virtually every other poster in this thread.

"Well, I have a passport. And I'm not a terrorist anyway. So what's for lunch?"

Yes, because showing ID when buying the same is the same as having a totalitarian government...yes. Quite.

Not quite..yet. But 'tis an insidious game of grandmother's footsteps that the government is engaged in.

Have you ever been to Zimbabwe?

Well thanks for totally ignoring my points. I was making an analogy, and despite it being an extreme one, it still demonstrates my point of the fallacy of your argument, which you still won't admit.

Don't bring Zimbabwe into this, it's irrelevant. I addressed your point and you had no intentions of doing the same to mine because, either a) you are ignorant or, b) you are lazy. Either way it does not bode well for you.

Please don't continue to argue your point if you won't back it up or follow through with it.

And just to add, you already need to show ID when buying a contract phone, and some Pay as you go ones too (depending on the store). They asked for my Driver's Licence when I got mine to verify my details.

If it requires research we're already fighting a losing battle. There should be a deep seated mistrust of governmental interference in our lives that transcends any rational argument.

Where are the rabble rousing tabloids when you need 'em?

What remains traditional these days?

All we can do is pray that Wakeupcall is in the minority, and they'll wake up one day with enough sense to research the area and find out how wrong they've been, then thank the lord that they cannot vote just yet (I hope anyway).

"They already do it in France, no 'V for Vendetta' sitch going on over there."
"they do it in country [x] so it's fine here" is not a valid argument. Moreover what works for one country might not work for the other. Should England get the Euro just because France find it okay? Of course not, it will devastate to our economy, we're hardly the same as France. Just because China is still in (mostly) one piece even with their totalitarian government doesn't mean that other countries should start practising the same way. Learn some common sense and logic.

Aren't teenagers traditionally the fiery revolutionaries ranting about the evils of establishment?

If Wakeupcall is apathetic at this age, he'll be beating my head in with a truncheon at 25.

I'm not saying everything France does is Ok, but I am saying we've already seen this passport thing happen in things such as Norway, France, Australia, Thailand, Denmark...

But we shall fight it on the beaches!

I've never heard the "everything France does is automatically okay" argument before, but I'm damn sure it's a logical fallacy.

We should come up with a name for it. Who knows Latin?

Honey, everything's Ok.
