The Royal Marines were taking part in a routine joint patrol Wednesday with Afghan security forces in the southern Garmsir district of Helmand when their vehicle was struck by an explosive device at 4:47pm (1247 GMT).
Total British deaths 124 in Afghansistan.
Sucks, sucks to report those kind things too I'm sure. We just had to read it, imagine the guy writing it...
the guy writing it?
What about the rest of the soldiers who literally had to pick up the pieces?

I agree, but it's not humvees thata re the problem, American vehicles are fine now, with the panther etc.
It's the British snatch that's a problem, hence SAS officers resigning.
Quote: from Rollo Tomasi at 12:09 pm on Nov. 13, 2008 do they let non-citizens join or something Gurkhas, Jamaicans, Africans, Irish, etc. and loads of commonwealth join. Yeah, they take a lot of non citizens. Theres a whole Gurkha regiment. They're cool as fuck, theyve won more Victoria crosses than any other regiment, and they flock to join the British Army.
do they let non-citizens join or something
Gurkhas, Jamaicans, Africans, Irish, etc. and loads of commonwealth join.
Yeah, they take a lot of non citizens.

Loyal and hard as fuck the gurkhas are. Seconded.
i mean, it would be better if they served the country they loved and also didn't die, but you know what i mean
a lot of British soldiers aren't actually British....
OK this might seem mean, but its not if you think about it. 128 people dead since that we been over there, but how many people die on the roads a year. about 4 times the amount of the people that been killed at war.. anyways its still sad about that =[
what has that got to do with this.
This is still a tragedy.
at least they served the country they loved
Don't be so fucking ridiculous. We can't just abandon the Afghanistan effort, just like that.
We have got a disproportionate number of troops out there though. The US/other NATO countries need to start pulling their weight.
