Recently, in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) there's been a case of a teacher getting fired because of a photo one of her students found during a class project.

Basically, the student was doing a project on human sexuality and stumbled upon pornographic photo's of their teacher. The school has now fired the teacher and is suing her.

How is that even fair? First of all, it's illegal to bring up someone's sexually history in court and second, if she isn't promoting that lifestyle to the students, and it's in her past, what harm is she doing?

why did she have porn pictures available to kids at school in the first place?

It was on the internet and accessible to anyone with an internet connection. She didn't show the kids in class, he found it on his own.

well they can fire her, becaues im sure somewhere in the school code it says something about the banning of pornographic material on school campus. not sure how sueing him/her makes sense tho.

did they find the photo online?

"human sexuality project.." nice cover for looking up porn.

i think that its her prerogative what she does after class, but i wouldn't want a porn star teaching my kid anything. so i guess i'm conflicted.

also.. is this a college professor? or a high school/middle school teacher?

because i would say if she is a high/middle school teacher that this is justified.

i mean, my university can kick me out if they see pictures of me drinking.

Yea, I heard about that...
No I dont think its fair at all.
As long and shes not supporting that lifestyle its true, she shouldnt be fired for her past.

I can understand why they fired her maybe, but suing?
