| To be honest, if you only want to learn things that are directly relevant to your future career, you're in a sorry state. |

| Supposively all these gen-ed classes make you a more rounded person. I do think most of em' are BS. I mean math and english, fine thats understandable but the other non-sense classes I took were such gargabe. But usally they easy A's, so its a good way to boost your GPA. |

| Universities have all these general requirements for liberal arts / science majors because they want their graduates to appear very well rounded to employers. This, in turn, gives more credit to their degrees, which increases the amount of students wishing to get a degree from that university, and therefore brings the university more prestige and money. This is why you have to take all these classes. A word of the wise, make sure to get all these classes done as soon as possible. I got all my general requirements done before my junior year, and now I'm free to focus only on the shit I need to for my major. |

^ so, you'll need maths, analytical reasoning and English skills then, at least. honestly, you're being given something invaluable - an education, and you're getting a broad, University level education at that! I would love to be able to learn about science and maths at my Uni, think yourself lucky. Education is never useless.
well to me it just seems pointless. college isn't for everybody |

What major are you in that won't make use of biology, math, analytic reasoning or English? Of course it's your choice to refuse to do homework. I just hope you're not going to school on my tax dime.
i'm majoring in broadcast production |
