Maybe I expect too much or compare myself to people.

I just wish I had more support. I would do anything for a big family.

My dad was emotionally abusive and my mom became emotionally distant from that. I mean that's what I observed growing up.

I just feel like I'm doing everything on my own, without much support.

Will it get easier?

A lot of the time, especially as we grow older, after having gone through the kind of thing you have, it's hard not to feel like we're alone, or maybe just that everything is a little harder for us. You are not alone though, never forget that there are people around the would reach out if they only knew, they will not because of pity but because they too have questions and  concerns about things that they need help answering.

Whether you want to see someone on a professional level, or just talk to a friend, should be up to you. Most colleges and universities I am familiar with have counseling services, and many people on livewire would lavish the thought of helping someone else to feel more comfortable. Best of luck with everything, it does get easier.

Yes, it will...you are growing up, your feelings will change to the better or worse and it's all up to you..

Stop giving yourself the impression this is destroying you, this is making you different, it's not. We are all living similar problems, don't let it grow up with you :)

Oh...and if you feel like you need to talk about it, I'm here
