Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've been on, and I've been thinking about some of my worries :( . Anyway, there's this girl I'm friends with and I was wondering what I should do if she expects me to go to school dances and stuff like that? The thing is, I don't go to school dances basically because I don't know how to dance and I don't want people to be watching me while I look awkward. Dances just aren't my thing and the prom is coming up this year. My mom wants me to go, but I don't know if I'd be comfortable and I don't think I want to go either. I just don't want to disappoint her and my mom.
I hope I don't sound silly, it's just something that bothers me. Anybody else hate school dances?

Please help!

The thing is.. she's prolly thinkin "Stuff that happens to other people, it wont happen to me" so that'll make anything you say to her fall on deaf ears, I really don't have a set solution for this.. listen to the advice of other ppl i guess.. then theres always the other alternative, tell her to get help, tell an adult, a counselor, tell someone...
