So I wanna ask..

With the introduction of the "plus/minus system", do you still have a 4.0GPA if you have a A- average? So basically, making the difference between A and A- useless?

With the help of extra credit, what happens to the "excess" if you exceed 100%? Do the excess points go toward your average or is every subject capped at 100%?

Thankies.

I'm just taking regular classes, the highest is A (92.5% cut off). So anything above that percentage is pretty redundant right? It doesn't average across any subject that is below it?

Using just 2 subjects with equal credit hours as an example: suppose I have a 108% and a 92%, which is a 4.0 and a 3.8... The GPA would be 3.9 even though the average percentage is 98%?

My high school didn't give A-.  An A+ was still considered an A.  If you had honors classes an A-5, B-4, C-3, D-1.  I think the max GPA possible was a 4.85.

i don't know, but for your 2nd question if you take honors classes, you can get a higher gpa than a 4.0. if you take normal classes, it stops at 4.0. it might be different in your school though.

in my school an a- average is like a 3.8.

Oh, then what happened before the plus/minus system was implemented?
