I was thinking about it too (whether or not honors is worth it) and it seems to be all about the inner worth. But if you go to a college where the honors kids are treated like gods then it has it's advantages as well as what agentxprovocateur said good for corporate world etc.

no, I mean honors as in taking extra classes and writing a thesis.

If you mean honors as in top-ranking student, there are like a million reasons to excel in academics....looks better on your resume, easier to get your foot in the corporate world, and also, with higher grades, you'll get more tuition assistance each year....for example, I maintained a 4.0 GPA for my first two semesters and i just received a scholarship paying for more than half of my tuition.

Honors as in the program or honors as in 4.0 GPA and high grades?
