Every time it gets close to a Holiday, I loose someone close to me.
Christmas 2001: my grandma who took care of me all of my life died the day before Christmas.
Easter 2005: 2 days before Easter I lost a woman who I didn't know very well, but my mom did and I felt like I knew her so well just by talking to my mom about her.
Valentines Day 2008: my grandpa who also took care of me my whole life and that I saw and talked to EVERYDAY of my life died 3 days after Valentines Day.
And now today a week before Halloween a woman who was like a grandma to me and that I became very close to died.
This sucks.

Although it may not seem like it, it is a coincidence.  More holidays pass without someone dying than with someone dying.  Try to find the joy and fun of each holiday and remember all the good things those who died did for you.
