Quote: from [m]Tara Mife[/m] at 11:48 am on Oct. 28, 2008
Hello everyone, I go to a Community College, and I receive Financial Aid. I was awarded just about $8,531.00 for the 2008-2009 school year. My tuition costs about 3,300.00 a year including fee's. My school divides the tuition to pay accordingly for each semester. The first half of the Financial Aid that was awarded came in the begging of October, and the rest just last week. Which amounts to about 4,291.00 altogether. A few weeks ago around Oct 6th when the first half came in, there was a remaining balance of $149,00. That I believe still needed to be paid. So when I checked my student account Oct 22 when the next half came in my current balance was and is $0.00, apparently everything is paid to date. But on my account this shows up: REFD, Refund, Student Account $2,467.00 as a column on my billing summary. So what exactly does that mean? I mean obviously I do not owe any money. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! -Tara
None of it was a loan. Everything I was awarded is basically free money, based off of my families low income, Would I get this money back in a form of a check?

it means you have extra money. you can only use it for certain things, ie school books, gas money, car upkeep housing etc.
you can keep it, if you need it, or you can send it back, if it was a loan.
