I got an offer from Queen Mary results dependant. It is the only college i applied for through UCAS.

I am probably not going to take the offer, but i want to accept it anyway. What do I do?

And is the Queen Mary a good college, reputation wise. I mean have i done well being accepted, or is it your run of the mill college?

If in doubt; give 'em a bell. Admissions people are generally very helpful if you ring them up, I've found.
The Samsoniteman Posted at 3:06 pm on April 8, 2008
You can always ring em up.

oh dear, im confuddled. ill just put it as firm will i? and just hope nothing bad happens in august.
Fauna Posted at 3:03 pm on April 8, 2008
I suppose you could put it as an insurance. I'm not sure if you can do that, but you could try.
The Samsoniteman Posted at 3:01 pm on April 8, 2008
Of course. They're not going to send the black and tans in. Well.

It shouldn't. You're applying through separate systems, UCAS wouldn't tell CAO much of anything, I'd wager.

So if I firmly accept QM, but I also accept a place at NCAD in August, nothing bad will happen, if i decide fuck QM im going to an irish college?

Ok, guys but I also have my CAO to irish colleges, which is the same as UCAS, only Irish. And im on the waiting list to be accpeted into both Trinity and NCAD. And if i get it im gonna take NCAD. At the moment there are 4 other colleges in ireland considering me.

How will a firm choice in the UK affect this?

marshmellowman Posted at 2:46 pm on April 8, 2008
If you accept it as your firm choice, you are entering into a legally binding contract and you have to go there should you get the grades.

You have to decide before the end of the reply deadline whether you want to go there. QM is a very good Uni though. You really need to think about it.

The Samsoniteman Posted at 2:42 pm on April 8, 2008
How do you accept an offer? Log onto your UCAS account and click away. Queen Mary is a great university.
Fauna Posted at 2:42 pm on April 8, 2008
QMUL is a great Uni, still in London but in Mile End (so cheaper). I would take the offer if I were you. If you want to accept the offer click the "Reply to Offers" and choose 'Firm' from the drop down list.

But, talk to theatreminelli about QMUL, I'm pretty sure she goes there.
