SUNY Binghamton for me, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm living four hours away from home, but I get to room with my best friend, and I'm going to a good school. Can't wait, although I'm gonna miss NYC like crazy!
I only have one concern: All throughout high school, now keep in mind that I'm a student who has almost zero self reliance in terms of learning, I always need lessons explained to me in detail for me to understand, by the teacher that is. Text books don't help me because I can't understand shit it says. Every time I have a teacher throughout high school who expected us to do the reading and comprehend information ourselves, I always complain about it. Every time I complain, I get told, "This is how it will be in college." @_@ Blah.

yes, college will be about reading. but if you're willing to seek out your professor(s) for help, they will be more than happy to help you. but you can't just go to them and say "uh, i dont get it." you have to tell them specificly something that you need help with.
i had the same problem. i used to read everything one paragraph at a time, and try to take notes on whatever was important in that paragraph. and i would try to understand my notes. it takes a lot of work, but it pays off in the end.
I'll be going to UCSB.
I'm looking forward to it! Should be a pretty fun (but tough) 4 years (I'm going to an Ivy)
Which one?
I'm going to SUNY Albany, and to be honest, I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm wondering if I'm mentally old enough to start college. It's just that for some reason, I sometimes don't feel as old as I look, and though I'm 17, I'd probably act maybe like a 14 or 15 year old, depending on the situation. Still, though, I'm looking forward to living on campus and everything, but it's true: time flies, and I'm only hoping I've prepared enough to stick it out.

I am freaking out! I feel like it's going to be crazy hard and I won't do well and I just want to get out high school.
