I only have one concern: All throughout high school, now keep in mind that I'm a student who has almost zero self reliance in terms of learning, I always need lessons explained to me in detail for me to understand, by the teacher that is. Text books don't help me because I can't understand shit it says. Every time I have a teacher throughout high school who expected us to do the reading and comprehend information ourselves, I always complain about it. Every time I complain, I get told, "This is how it will be in college." @_@ Blah.
yes, college will be about reading. but if you're willing to seek out your professor(s) for help, they will be more than happy to help you. but you can't just go to them and say "uh, i dont get it." you have to tell them specificly something that you need help with. i had the same problem. i used to read everything one paragraph at a time, and try to take notes on whatever was important in that paragraph. and i would try to understand my notes. it takes a lot of work, but it pays off in the end. |

| i'm going to georgian court university. i'm not nervous at all. its only 20 minutes away from home. i love the campus and would want to live there, but since its a mostly all-girls college, it would be very hard to see my boyfriend. and none of my friends have cars, so i would have to keep commuting to see them anyway. i don't see the point in wasting $10,000 every year to live somewhere, plus gas mileage. |

| I'm very excited about going to college in the fall because of the whole experience. Yes, I will be moving away from home for the first time but I'm sure I won't get that homesick since my brother and some of my friends will be going with me! I'll be going to UCSB. |

I'm going to SUNY Albany, and to be honest, I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm wondering if I'm mentally old enough to start college. It's just that for some reason, I sometimes don't feel as old as I look, and though I'm 17, I'd probably act maybe like a 14 or 15 year old, depending on the situation. Still, though, I'm looking forward to living on campus and everything, but it's true: time flies, and I'm only hoping I've prepared enough to stick it out.
i feel the sane exact way. but im 18=] but i act so much younger..my maturity level isnt that high [unfortunately] and at least you look 17-ish... i look 15-ish [lol] but im still excited! super excited* love. |

| I'm taking a semester off, then going to the University of North Florida. I'm excited, I'll be moving away from my family, which is going to be horrible because I'm an only child & really close to my parents. But, it'll be a nice change. |

| It'll be my first time living away from home and I'm more nervous than I've ever felt in my entire life. Sure, it's a wonderful new experience and all, and I couldn't be more excited, but I'm really close to my mother and it's going to be hard moving away. Plus we live in a very small town, and I'm going to the second largest college in Missouri -- Missouri State University (Springfield). I have a few friends and a cousin attending there next year as well, so, at least that'll help ease the change! |
