Well I'm not at Uni but a school it is just something useful to have on your statement. Shows teambuilding skills and such. Plus it's fun and keeps you fit.

Walking out onto the field and seeing all the fans cheering for you.  Or if it's an away game, it's fun to go into a stadium where everyone hates you and you beat the shit out of their team.  :p
