I'm positive she has been using my dishes because they are in the sink with food I never touched smeared all over them. She came from New Orleans and probably doesn't have dishes of her own but the thought of someone using my spoons and bowls totally grosses me out, like the only way I could get rid of the germs would be to boil them. She's black and she seems to be a little um...racially sensitive. Like anything I say is wrong so I'm sure she's going to freak out if I confront her about the dishes so how can I say it in a nice, sensitive, polite, way? I mean, I need to tell her to stop. It's disgusting!

I'm also a little confused about how her color has anything to do with the argument. I think if race were an issue for her she would stay away from you and all your stuff. You seem to be the one who is "racially sensative". You are sharing a room and unavoidably many other things. Put your dishes in a safe and continue being neurotic..

Do you make your family bring plates from home for holiday feasts?
ToeJam Posted at 11:01 am on Sep. 30, 2005
you shouldnt care if she uses your dishes thats just dumb.    Just tell her to make sure she washes them if she uses them.

In both of these topics you had to make a strong point to say that she is black, hmmm...  Why are you so preoccupied with the idea?

Anyway, I don't see why it is so horrible that food that you didn't eat off of touched your plate.  You are quite the bitch.  This person lost her house, her belongings, probably split up from her family, and you are bitching at her for using one of your many plates?  I hope god smites you, you selfish bitch.  Honestly, you really do sicken me.

Think about it, SHE HAS NOTHING, Buy some plastic plates , spoons, cups, if youre really that grossed out by it.

I agree.

Yea I think it would sound completely bitchy of you to tell her to use her own silverware.  I mean, come on.  She's your roommate, so maybe you need to get more comfortable with her.  I mean, if you can't even use the same dishes, how can you live under the same roof?

Sounds a tad over hygenic to me, did you never stay at a friends house and use her plates or anything???
traco Posted at 1:28 pm on Sep. 14, 2005
