Has anyone ever watched someone else get busted in the dorms?  Like for alcohol, or being too drunk, or needing medical attention, or making too much noise??

My friend was diabetic and needed her insulin really badly...and other times, I've been woken up hearing people run down the hall to get the police, etc.

Anythingl ike that happen?

Not in my dorm...it's pretty quiet here in my dorm. I've been drunk with friends here too...were loud as hell. Never got caught.

lol it's so common place around here i don't even notice it anymore. the room across the hall from mine is known throughout the building as the party room they litteraly party every night. i've called in noise complaints once or twice but it seems they get busted for noise at least 2 or 3 times a week. lol i see people passed out in front of my door at least a couple times a month and i believe the guys that live in the room have been caught at least once smoking up in the room.

also one of my friends was smoking some bad weed (i deffinatly don't condone the drug use but he's a good guy) and had a really bad trip, got really paranoid had to call 911. i belive that actualy happend twice. my other friend was just recently evicted for getting caught smoking up in the room 3 times!

My floor was usually the troublemakers of the hall, lol. We got nerf guns banned one year. We've also had a million and one warnings on our noise in the middle of the night- none of the RAs wanted to write us up because we were actually the only floor in the building at the time that would socialize (we're broken down into "mods" on each floor, which is like a living room and it didn't help it was a substance-free dorm with a ton of singles).

I have witnessed a police arrest of some dude that was stealing cellphones, ipods, laptops, bikes, and weed (I was surprised he fit all this shit in his room). He was a resident of my guyfriend who felt rather annoyed that a resident of his was actually doing all that shit and made him look bad. The guy was all over the paper the next day, obviously.

I've heard a shitload of stories of where people have passed out in the wrong halls, outside thier doors, and I personally have told off some dude for waking me up at 4am. I told him he was in the wrong hall, had the wrong room, and that I was not his gf! Eventually, after he kicked my door (thankfully he was too drink to have any strength), he walked away.

One night, I saw an RA I knew outside of our dorm and just started yapping at him. He kept getting anxious and looking down. When I looked down where he was, there was a little bag of coke. As the rules state, he wasn't allowed to touch it and he had to call for a police officer to come and pick it up right where it was.

Lots of stories but to be honest- that's what you get when you shove 140 people into a small building. I have a lot more memories about us having fun and such than these, that's for sure.

I've had a couple of incidents, nothing too horrible (thank goodness!). Once I was out with my boyfriend, and got a call from the RA on duty saying that he "needed me to get back to the dorms to help him with a situation." Evidently, my residents were having a birthday party for another one of my residents, and they decided to do a bit of drinking, which was against the rules, but I didn't have a problem with it. The issue only arose because, when the RA on duty went for his nightly walk, they were drinking out in the hall (not quitely in their room like I allow), so he saw them, went to confront them, and they locked the doors and ran out of the hall, which was a very unwise and stupid move. We just ended up writing them up, nothing major.

Another incident was when one of my residents got so drunk that she puked in her room, vaccumed it up (oh great!), then had to have someone help her shower to get herself cleaned up.

I got called a few times when I was the RA on duty to another hall, multiple times in one night. The people were obviously drunk and just being quite loud and obnoxious, but they weren't leaving or keeping quiet, no matter how many times I went to tell them to shut up. I ended up having to kick the guests out of the hall and asking the residents to go to their rooms.

There may have been more, but I don't quite recall, it all kind of blends in.

Oh, once I got called by this girl who was on depression meds, and I guess she ran out of her meds at 11pm, on a Friday, and she was under 18, so there was really no way to help her out, so I just alerted her RA on the hall and he tried to hang out with her, to keep her mind off of everything so that she felt more comfortable.
