My future roommates and I have not seriously looked at any apartments yet and it's a little worrisome. I expect the apartments to fill up fast near the uni so I was hoping to start early in our search and secure an apartment beforehand, but they're telling me we should all wait until July (a month before classes are set to start). Good idea? Bad idea? Maybe because I'm excited that I'm jumping the gun a bit, but I don't like procrastinating when it comes to finding a place to live.
