Well almost two years ago, I met this girl and we dated for a few months and took each others virginity, etc...

So, we broke up after a little while and then went our separate ways. Now, two years later, we're "back together."

The catch here, is that she lives 200ish miles away from me at the moment until late August and then she'll only be about an hour away with traffic - this is because her college is close to where I live now.

I just moved away from my hometown, where she currently is.

Now, we've talked on and off for the last two years...but probably the last two months, we've been talking every day pretty much all day on and off. We've decided to get back together - "officially" - but I'm a little nervous about it.

So, my question to you folks is, have you ever had a long distance relationship? Has it worked out? Have you been in my situation where you've dated in the past and then get back together in the future but it's long distance due to one of you moving?

We're only a 3 hour ride away...but with gas prices that isn't too feasible. I did just buy a bike, so that will save me some money on gas...but still - it's a killer.

Discuss.

I think you should,  it's worth it.

I just got into one too.
We're about 7 hours away.

I want it to last, a very long time.

Well, being that you guys have had a history and even took each others virginity...I think it is worth a shot. This reminds me of a really cute love story . I think that if you really feel good about both of you, then you should try it out. I know that with gas prices the way they are it will be difficult to see each other but it can definitely work out. I definitely say that you should try it out. Personally, I've never had a "long distance relationship", but I did live 3,000 miles away from home for 9 months and I become even closer to all of my friends!

Well my uncle is with this girl in germany and we live in the uk.  He flys out to see her and last time he came home we noticed a ring (he wont actually explain what this means)  Don't get me wrong it is hard for them because they don't see each other often and they do argue but so do all couples.  I reckon it can work but the lack of sex does get to some.
