This girl and I've hung out a couple of times before (gotten dinner at a burger joint, saw a movie together) under friendly circumstances. But I want to let her know that I like her and want to date her. So the next time I ask her out, should I throw in the word "date" in there? Or do I still have to keep playing games?

Well I mean a movie is a pretty classic DATE. If it was just the two of you then its getting close. If you paid then it definitely was. I wouldn't say I 'like' you though. That's very middle school and will scare a lot of college girls away. Just ask her out to dinner. And if she says 'like a date?' Say 'call it what you will.'

Make sure she knows it is a date. Else, she will feel betrayed and upset when she learns you are using her friendship to be with her romantically.

tell her you like her and you'd like to see if there could be anythihng between you two.

Ask her on a date and take her somewhere other than a burger joint. I think the second part of that is the more important advice.
