Usually I hate first contact to be through messages but Facebook is my only way to talk to Thomas, this beautiful man from my 2d design class. I was interested in him from day one but a friend had a thing for him at the time so I kept my distance.

That is all history now and I'm making my move. The only thing is I'm stuck on how to word the message. I don't want to sound like a crazy and I feel really self conscious about sending a message out of the blue. *Sigh*

NEVER say anything creepy like "so, you like jazz?" or "what you wearin?"

Say something more like "Did you see the Twilight movie?" or some other casual topic like that.

Who knows? Might spark something!

You won't come off as a creepy if you keep it very friendly and casual (like I wouldn't say you like him in the first one). :) Ask him how he likes the class.

If you're wanting to make a move, talk to him face-to-face.
