Okay, go figure, my friends that I'd typically talk to are all out doing something important with their lives this morning, so I'll bring this to you all here at LW.

One of my (female) friends and I have been getting really close, and I'm starting to remind myself that I had a crush on her when we were both interns at the company we both work for full-time now.  Anyway, I don't think she knows I like her, and I was planning on talking to her about it on New Year's Eve, when I got back from my vacation.  WELL, thanks to New England weather, I'm concerned about my ability to get back on New Year's Eve, as the airport I'm supposed to fly in to is supposed to get 6 inches of snow tomorrow.  I was supposed to go to her party, so I gave her a heads-up, via e-mail, that I might be spending New Year's in Chicago.

She replies, "I'm celebrating Christmas late, so we can always push back New Year's as well."

Without missing a beat, I started drafting this e-mail:

"Celebrating Christmas late?  Does that mean there is still mistletoe to be found? =P"

However, this seems like it might be a bit too flirty...thoughts?

this sounds like a very typical comment from you... haha... if someone would have shown me that dialogue i would have guessed it was from you!  :)

that said... i don't think it sounded too flirty, especially since she is familiar with your sense of humor

Just the right amount of flirty-ness.
