i have a problem.

fafsa considers me a dependent, meaning i have to include my parents' information on my loans request. and my parents make too much money to be considered for loans, but they don't want to pay for my college tuition.

i'm basically screwed up the ass. what can i do about it? i really need help, so if anyone knows anything, it would be really greatly appreciated.

yea that's tough. i also heard that if your parents claim you on their taxes, then you can't even get the tax credit for school. see, if you are independent, the gov't gives you tax credit for going to school and i think that amt is around $2500. There are other options as far as paying your way thru college. www.HigherEdSpace.com provide more insights into getting student loans and grants, etc.

How about college scholarships?  Is that an option for you?

Also, check out different scholarship websites and apply for them!!!  You'd be amazed at how many people receive scholarships but few other people actually applied for them.

My parents make alot of money and i still got alot in financial aid and loans. just try to get as much as you can - even if its not alot, its still better than nothing.

Lie, like I do. Or private loans.
