Replies ritadimassi Posted at 7:06 pm on May 26, 2009 yea that's tough. i also heard that if your parents claim you on their taxes, then you can't even get the tax credit for school. see, if you are independent, the gov't gives you tax credit for going to school and i think that amt is around $2500.
