The FAFSA site is a nice site to start... however you must be willing to go out and do your own share of work.. like writing essays and stuff... |

| In order to avoid Scholarships and Grant scams: Do not give out your SSN, credit card info, bank account numbers, etc. no matter what. It's an obvious scam and is rather common. Always read the small writing to make sure it's not a scam. If you have to pay any amount to get the scholarship, it's not worth it. I know every high school student is looking for easy ways to get scholarships. Honestly, if you think about it this way; Writing a 1,000 word essay isn't that bad for a $300 scholarship (this is an example btw). Say you wrote the essay, and spent approx. 15 hours doing research and writing it. That would be $300 divided by 15. You're essentially getting paid $20 an hour. Not too shabby if you compare it to working $8 an hour at the local coffee shop. |
