at uni, we have a system called "HECS" which is where the government pays for all ur uni fees and you dont have to pay them back until you start earning over 40k a year, and theres no interest other than inflation. Also they take the money out with ur tax so its not like a big bill u have to suddenly find money for.

That's why it rocks to be educated in Scotland too. Scottish student = no paying for tuition fees. Woohoo. All we have to pay back is a student loan, should we wish to take one out (and which is generally only ever £10,000 for the four years) and which we only pay back when we're earning enough. Grand.

that would be great for people who can't afford.  i wouldn't need that assistance though.  we should try and get a similar system in my country.
