If I am living alone and working, do I still fill out one?  Even though I wont have my parents one?  I dont think I could use that anyway.  I would just use my own personal tax return?

Replies ScholarshipExpert Posted at 7:49 am on Mar. 12, 2008 Even after you move out and are declared independent, it is best to fill out a FAFSA anytime you expect to take classes. This information will be sent to your school and allow them to offer you scholarships and grants to assist with school, without the FAFSA, you  cannot receive any government aid or institutional grants. It never hurts to fill one out! dreamweaver Posted at 9:56 am on Mar. 6, 2008 You have to be 23 in order for them to automatically call you independent in college for financial aide. You will still need to use your parents' information, even though they are not paying anything.
