I'm a new RA at my college and recently there was a public posting on our school's website that says "RAs needed! Immediate positions available for this Fall" and stuff..

Now I know someone who APPLIED to be an RA with me, but this persn didn't get the job.  I know when someone leaves their job, they need replacements and often call from the pool of candidates who applied...

He never got a call or offer to be the RA this summer when a few people left...

Is this a possible sign they don't want him as an RA?  Like a blow to the face?
Beause I have never heard of them making publics searchings like this before for just anyone to apply.

Seems like maybe they didn't want him. Because, as soon as an RA is fired/lost/graduated, at least, in my Housing Department, they go to through the list.

Seems to me like they didn't see him as fit to be an RA.
