| It depends on your dorm. My school rents out some of the rooms for winter break; I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my things with people if I were in that dorm. Probably you're ok; they'd tell you if had to move out. |

yes as they rent it for the summer and how do they know you are coming back next year. What if something bad happens and you can't come back, or you get an offer to go to a better school. Plus they don't want to be responsible for your stuff if someone steals it. And the final reason do you want the janitorial staff to be having sex on your sheets during the summer?
She said "fall semester" you dumbass.
Not only that, the janitors are not going to be having sex on your sheets. What the hell, where would you ever come up with that? |

| Depends on the school and what semester you're talking about. I know at my school, if you live in the same place from August through May (we have 2 semesters) you don't move your stuff during Christmas break. I would talk to the RA about the procedures you do then. I know we have to unplug our refrigerators and other outlets during the break because they turn off the heat for the building. |

Thanks guys, I was just curious. My parents have been arguing with me over this so I just figured I'd ask.
No problems. Just show them the year lease, and you win. ;) |

At the end of the fall semester, are you supposed to move all of your things out of your dorm room even if your assignment is for an entire year?
If you've signed a lease, for an entire year, then, no, you are not required to move out. They can't touch your room, for its under your name. Until your lease expires, it's your room. |

end of fall semester? NO. Only at the end of the spring semester. you can keep your stuff there over winter break. dont listen to the others, they dont know how to read.
^What she said. But, if you do have a mini fridge I believe you're supposed to let it defrost before you leave and keep it off all break. That's the only real rule I know about winter break. |

| No. You only move out all of your things at the very end of the year. You will be asked to unplug everything and anything that could be a safety hazard during the time you're away. |
