I don't think there are any sororities that are better than the others. I think that you should check them all out during rush week, and choose the one that best suits your personality.

I have found sorotities to be both beneficial and really ostrasizing. The things our sororities have done for our community are incredible, but the way the girls act above others is really annoying. Anyway, we have of the sororities listed but the lambdas. In all honesty, I can't say how one is better than the other, they all blend together on our campus.

I'm so glad my uni doesn't have sororities. But definitely check out the websites. Different sororities (and coeds.. which seem more laid back to me if your school has them) focus on different things. There are some Christian ones and Jewish ones and ones the focus on community service. Do the rush and see which ones fit you.

Yea, there's always that one upper classman that knows the reps of sororities. Also, there's websites (find a link on the school site) and not to mention rushing (which is how you get to know the members, what they are about, and what house).

I'm obviously not in a sorority but I would ask around your school and see what kind of people are in which sorority...... the slut sorority at one school may be the book worm one at another..... it really depends on where you go (at least from what I have been told) all that they really do is let you where the parties are which you can find out from friends there a little over rated from what I hear (that was about frats but i'm sure it is a 2 way street)

A sorority is basically a society of women...I can't really explain it. Maybe someone else can.
