So yeah, my dorm room smells bad x_x;

I'm.. dying.. x_x;

I have one of those auto spraying thingies in the room and all my dirty clothes are in the hamper in my closet.  I use a shoe deoderizer thingy on my shoes... but my room still smells bad >.<

How to fix?  x_x;

Then the next step to take is take it to the RA and if that doesn't work out, then the RD, your RA's boss.  And of course if nothing seems to work, move out.  Thats the biggest clue your roommate could ever recieve about his disgusting self.

Talk to your roommate about the smell.  And encourage him to help you get rid of it.

Roommates an asshole lol.  But I seriously think he hasn't showered since last closed weekend.  It's been like a month or longer x_x;

Can't open your windows....

But basically, the key is finding the source of the smell and eliminating it, I mean, thats all you can do, sniff around when your roomate isn't there.

OK, time for deep cleaning.  Wash everything- including curtains, bed sheets, all clothes, and shoes (if possible).  Buy some baking soda and some spray that smells nice.  Oh and some febreze is great as well.  Take the baking soda and sprinkle some of it on the floor, and let it set for about half an hour, then sweep it up.  If you don't have carpet, mop the floor really good.  Take some bleach and water mix (1 to 3 ratio: water to bleach) and use it to clean the mattress- that will kill germs and smell along with it.  Clean out the fridge (if you have one) and all your drawers.  Get rid of anything that is trash.  After you have washed all your clothes (if you use dryer sheets when drying, double the sheets) put them all up.

There's more to go but I'd say this much should do it.  Just make sure your room is clean and that there is no food and dirty clothes lying about, as they can contibute to horrible smell, with rotting and body odors.

Odors usually come from clothes that need washing, soiled bed linens, dirty carpet and dishes.  Take a look at these things. Open the window and let things air out a bit.  Deodorizes only dominate the dirty odors but don't clean them.

That's one of the reasons that I moved out of the dorm.  Most guys rooms smell like dirty balls to me...yikes.

haha, quite frankly i'm not sure if my roommate has showered since he last went home (more than a month ago)

Well, I'm guessing you didn't leave any rotten food laying around. Have you taken out the trash?  Vacuum up the floor, windex the windows.  Buy one of those nice-smelling air freshener thingies that you plug in...or a fan.  And febreeze supposedly works, too.
