When I lived in the dorms, I wish I had a single room.

I live in a single room, where I share a bathroom, living room, and sink area, with one other roommate. It's nice.

I couldn't imagine having to share my room with someone eurgh. I'm never lonely in my flat until everyone goes home for a weekend.

My ideal situation would be this, My own room, with 4 or more other rooms sharing the same common apartment space. Like a living room and a kitchen. You can lock your door if you need to separate yourself, or you can hang out in the living room. And the best ways to help everyone stay sane is to keep an open mind with your room mates and try to pick up after yourself when you make a mess of the common areas. How can you be lonely if you live on campus?

I have a single room and I love it. I did get lonely at first, but then I made some friends on my floor, so its better. It's nice having not to share space or anything.

As long as you're not alone in the area, you should be alright. Just keep the door open when you're there, so that people would know that you're there and willing to socialize. My old dorm building was mostly singles and a few doubles (I was in a double), so it worked out as long as people left thier doors open and willing to socialize.

I did it and wasn't lonely at all. There were about 17 girls on my end of the floor and 25 guys down the hall. It was never lonely or boring.

I lived in a single room for first semester of my Freshman year and while I did love it, having a roommate doesn't bother me at all. I could see it both ways.

I live in a single room, and my life could not be any better. I couldn't imagine how shitty it would be living with another person (lack of privacy, shared space, etc.) I'm friends with mostly everyone on my floor, with my best friend living beside me.

I live in a single apartment at college. It's fabulous. Plus my friends are within a 5 block radius so it's not a problem. Plus if you live by yourself, you get sick less often.
